Martha & Mary is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) with a passion for geriatrics to join our team. Full time and Part time positions available.
Wage Range: $35.50/hr. up to $44.80/hr. based off years of applicable experience as determined by HR.
*$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR FULL TIME NEW HIRES*
A typical day looks like:
- Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multi-disciplinary team members.
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families.
- Supervise assigned team members. Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
- Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills
- Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measure health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; make or recommend necessary adjustments; follow hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
- Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; call for assistance from health care support personnel, as needed
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, and participating in team problem- solving methods
We are looking for:
- RN license
- Sub-acute care/skilled nursing experience preferred
- Excellent clinical skills
- Excellent bedside manner
- Infection control skills
- Physiological knowledge
- Medication administration experience
- Ability to work as part of a medical team
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to listen effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication/documentation skills

- Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek. These accruals include the required sick leave per Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
