WHO ARE WE//
In 2013, native Texan Briana Valdez opened HomeState, an ode to Texas cuisine in Los Angeles with the mission of evoking community and creating a home for everyone, no matter where they are from. HomeState represents the integrity, history, and culture of Briana’s roots.
HomeState aims to create a dining experience that goes beyond the food. The way our guests feel at HomeState is the true mission of our efforts. HomeState exists for everyone. The relaxed environment allows each restaurant to flex to the needs of many. HomeState is a recipient of the KCRW “Best Tortilla in Southern California” award.
No matter where you’re from, HomeState is your home away from home. A space where every person feels welcomed and valued. We serve hospitality first and tacos second.
THE FINE PRINT //
The Area Team Leader (ATL) will report to the Director of Restaurant Operations (DRO) and should inspire and embody HomeState’s culture, mission, and core values. The ATL will lead and develop store level managers to ensure they successfully meet goals in many areas including, but not limited to driving operational success, guest hospitality, budgeting/financial acumen, hiring, training, scheduling, and adherence to SOPs for compliance in progressive counseling, HR actions, injury protocol, sanitation and safety. Most importantly, an ATL will lead and inspire others to create a nurturing restaurant environment where bold ideas flourish.
The ATL is responsible to oversee the assigned restaurants day-to-day operations, including the development of managers, succession planning and ensuring all team members are receiving support.
