RN Infection Preventionist
We are looking for an experienced RN Infection Preventionist with a current certification to manage the day to day nursing activities in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility. You will ensure that the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.
RN Infection Preventionist
- Ensures implementation and continuation of facility policies and procedures. Interprets existing policies and procedures to nursing personnel on assigned unit.
- Plans, organizes, develops, implements and interprets resident programs, goals, objectives, that are necessary for quality care. Includes development of and maintenance of Nursing and Restorative POCs.
- Makes frequent daily rounds. Monitors compliance with infection control practices, environment, and basic care needs. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Nursing department
- Reviews new admissions and readmitted residents and compares physician orders with the resident's plan of care to assure appropriate implementation of the physicians plan of care. Assures appropriate admission/readmission paperwork is in compliance. Provides direction and counseling for staff nurses as needed.
- Utilizes critical pathways to initiate admission, quarterly, annual and significant change ancillary assessments.
- Facilitates resident care conference. Acts as coordinator of information. Assures appropriate referrals/assessments are made for habitation of residents. Assures interdisciplinary participation in care plan review and updates.
RN Infection Preventionist
- Proven experience as RN Infection Preventionist
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
- Excellent ability to supervise and instruct others
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving and critical thinking
- Must have Infection Preventionist certification
- Must carry a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio and be in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing.
