Job Overview
We are a well-regarded health information company seeking an organized, meticulous Associate Content Manager with excellent writing, research, and proofreading skills and experience with basic HTML. Must have a bachelor’s degree, excellent references, and 3+ years relevant work experience. A science, journalism, and/or English background is a plus.
This is a full-time, remote/work-from-home position. Applicant should be able to work in the Eastern Time Zone as well as work flexible hours if necessary. Position will include a trial period to determine compatibility with job responsibilities.
You will work directly with the Vice President for Content others to ensure all content management tasks are implemented efficiently and effectively.

Our organization, ConsumerLab.com, is a 25-year-old, established provider of science-based product reviews, news, and information for educated consumers and health care professionals. Our focus is on dietary supplements, health foods, and other health products. We publish on our website and through our email newsletters.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Post content as needed to website using website editor
- Write and proofread website and email newsletter content for spelling, grammar and accuracy
- Assist in reviewing and obtaining journal articles
- Monitor government and industry sources daily for dietary supplement and food product warning letters, recalls and related news
- Write and post product warnings and recalls to website
- Assist in moderating, organizing, and responding to website member comments
Requirements and Qualifications
- Excellent writing skills. Must be able to succinctly convey scientific information.
- Excellent proofreading ability, checking grammar and spelling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel) and familiarity with Google Docs.
- Demonstrated experience with basic HTML
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organization skills
- Familiar with basic website content management systems and administration tools; ability to post online content
- Familiarity with scientific, medical and nutrition terms a plus
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biological sciences, nutrition, journalism, or English
- Available during Eastern Time Zone day and some evening hours
- Reliable computer and internet access
- Ability to work flexible hours/available on short notice as needed (position will include some evening and weekend hours when news/content requires)
- Good communications skills
- Team player but also able to work independently
- Experience with email marketing services and tools a plus
- SEO (search engine optimization) knowledge/experience a plus
- Excellent references and 3+ years relevant work experience
