Mil Mujeres Legal Services, a Non-Profit organization, is seeking a full-time, on-site City Representative in Washington, D.C. This position requires strong outreach skills, including the ability to build relationships, connect with community members, and raise awareness about our legal services.
About the Organization:
Mil Mujeres Legal Services is a nonprofit organization focusing on immigration benefits for survivors of violent crimes and their families. We offer immigration legal services to the low-income Latino community who have been victims of violent crimes within the United States. Our primary focus is gender-based crime survivors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Community Engagement: Led and organized Mil Mujere's participation in local events, fairs, and community activities. Attend weekly consulate meetings to deliver “Know Your Rights” presentations, conduct surveys and intakes, and provide direct assistance to the community.
Outreach & Collaboration: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local agencies, consulates, and organizations to expand outreach efforts. Coordinate and conduct presentations and outreach services to enhance community awareness and support.
Client Support & Communication: Conduct client intakes and meetings, answer phone calls, support client appointments, and handle client inquiries and case-related queries.
Administrative Duties: Manage administrative tasks such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, and handling mail to ensure smooth office operations. Handle, open, and distribute regular and electronic incoming and outgoing mail and other materials and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments or organizations;
Requirements:
- Education: An associate's degree in office administration is preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related positions.
- Skills:
- Fast learner and self-starter.
- Team-oriented with strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with productivity tools and email systems such as Google Workspace, Gmail, and Microsoft Office.

Salary: The current entry salary is $ 36,400.00 annually, 40 hours per week.
