Princeton Radiology Associates is a physician group practice providing diagnostic imaging services at ten imaging centers and two hospitals in New Jersey.
Princeton Radiology Associates is currently seeking a full-time Scheduler to work in our outpatient imaging facility located in Monroe.
Summary of Position:
The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointments for all modalities for walk-in patients at the assigned imaging center. Position supports our centralized scheduling team by answering calls from the queue at high volume call times.
Responsibilities:
- Screen patients for all procedures by obtaining necessary required medical information either from the patient or physician.
- Assist centralized scheduling queue at high volume call times, including answering all calls routed to the scheduling department for Princeton Radiology.
- Ensure the accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information.
- Inform patients of exam preparations, precertification requirements, and directions to the appropriate imaging office.
- Respond to same day procedure calls according to established procedures.
- Assists at front desk as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and two years related work experience required.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, and a rotating Saturday every four weeks.
- Must be able to commute to our Princeton imaging facility for training for the first few weeks.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology and medical terminology.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on a timely basis and work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to speak effectively and present a pleasant, professional demeanor/image during telephone conversations or in person.
- Adherence to follow established procedures and make sound decisions based on those procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to policy.
