Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Resident Services Coordinator to join our team. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the delivery of services to residents. RSC will identify, develop, initiate, and coordinate the resources needed by residents to maintain tenancy, encourage independence, and generally enhance the quality of life of residents in the housing community, in collaboration with company policies. Ideal candidate will have prior social work experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop orientation program for new residents
Coordinate in-home services program such as chore services, homemaker, and transportation, as indicated by the needs of residents
Provide coordination and support for on-site social programming and health promotion by organizing periodic program sessions and other special events as desired by the resident population
Work with volunteer agencies to recruit volunteers to assist the residents
Conduct needs assessments for residents; refer residents with case management and/or health needs to appropriate programs and services
Work with residents to identify and prioritize their service needs and develop alternative strategies for meeting these needs
Develop an inventory of local health, social service and community resources for use by residents, families and caregivers. Assist them in maximizing these resources
Work with Management staff to assist residents with lease violation issues and maintain confidential documentation of such issues
Initiate and maintain a close working relationship with local resources; information sharing, mutual consultation, joint planning and adjustments, joint problem solving
Prepare monthly newsletter and other resident correspondence to publicize services/activities
Plan and supervise activities
Locate funding for resident services program
Process tenant complaints, issues and concerns. Conduct tenant mediation/conferences
Qualifications:
- BA in Human Service Field
- Prior social work experience working with elder populations case management
- Good organizational, communication (both oral and written), and planning skills, creative thinking
e and able to work with and understand the problems and attitudes of a varied resident population
- Ability to communicate well with residents and understand the issues of a varied resident population
- Bi-lingual in Russian a plus
