Front Desk Coordinator::
DESCRIPTION: Great opportunity for a reliable professional to join our medical practice front office staff. The successful candidate will be a motivated, energetic, upbeat person who takes pride in their work. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Front Desk Associate will be the first person to greet our patients . They will carry out the day-to-day administration of the front office, including answering telephones, scheduling appointments, registering patients, confirming insurance/referral information, collecting information needed for our clinic days, collecting co-payments/co-insurance money and maintaining the patient flow during clinic hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate will exhibit strong “people friendly” skills in order to successfully interact with our patients.
- Excellent phone skills and customer service skills are required
- A sharp attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service is a must
- Must be comfortable discussing financial details with patients
- Must be able to maintain your composure if a patient encounter becomes difficult
- Must be able to juggle numerous duties in the course of a business day
- Must be able to adapt to new office policies on a fairly regular basis
- Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to efficiently interact with challenging/demanding patients, busy physicians and a diverse office staff
- EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years of customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience with medical practice administration, patient appointment scheduling systems and electronic charting.
- Experience in insurance authorizations and referral tracking
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Must have basic computer efficiencies and the ability to learn multiple software systems
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Our preference is for a candidate who has a serious interest in joining our staff and working towards helping the practice grow.
EDUCATION:BENEFITS:
