Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases and projects
- Assist with legal administrative tasks such as drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Research and negotiate settlements or resolutions on behalf of clients
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court or other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school (recent graduate preferred, but not required - ideally seeking candidates with 2 years or less experience)
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document review
- Familiarity with legal tools such as Westlaw and Clio
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Prior experience in litigation is preferred but not required
