Human Resources Coordinator II
Full Time, Full Benefits, 40 Hours Weekly
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll
- Collect and review weekly timesheets in collaboration with Senior Payroll Specialist.
- Audit employee hours and wages while ensuring accuracy and necessary approvals.
- Conduct detailed research on location (county and company entity) of each project and service ticket employees work on to ensure correct wages to be paid, i.e. regular pay, overtime, prevailing wage, etc. Research in the following databases and systems: ProCore, ServiceTrade, ProfitZoom.
- Enter weekly payrolls into Certified Payroll Processing system, UKG and Points North.
- Prepare weekly payroll allocations in ProCore
- Prepare Certified Payrolls for prevailing wage projects.
- Prepare and upload certified payroll to the Illinois Department of Labor.
- Continuously ensure prevailing wage rates are updated and accurate.
- Become familiar and knowledgeable of prevailing wage laws, i.e. Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, Davis Bacon Act, etc.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information.
- Assist in monitoring prevailing wage projects from start to finish, including review of prevailing wage and benefit payments made to employees, and take steps necessary to ensure compliance
- Keep internal and external databases up to date with current wage rates and fringe benefit rates including certified payroll reporting software.
- Resolve certified payroll reporting inquiries from internal and external clients.
- Assist with mail if needed or necessary including verifications of employment, levies, garnishments, etc.

- Balance day-to-day responsibilities with key project work and professional development opportunities.
- All other activities, tasks, project work and responsibilities as assigned.
