POSITION PURPOSE
This Shipping & Receiving Clerk will assist with duties related to the internal warehouse, which includes all shipping and receiving services. Responsibilities will specifically be focused on ensuring timely and accurate flow of transactional information. This position will work closely with the Account Services, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to achieve division objectives while maintaining a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy. This individual also contributes to a positive team atmosphere and applies safety guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- Previous work experience in Shipping & Receiving
- Demonstrates a “hands-on” problem solving approach
- Experienced with computer programs and ERP systems – SAP experience is a plus
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate time management skills
- Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Forklift experience is desired
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for loading/unloading goods, product waste disposal, shipping orders, and monitoring stocked items and assisting in other areas as directed.
- Manage order fulfillment process (parts, raw goods, finished goods), including picking, packing, and shipping to deliver the highest level of customer service.
- Keep area clean and adhere to the 5’S Housekeeping Standards.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and control within the distribution facility including stock rotation.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and assist in other areas as directed.
- Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.
- Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.
- Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 25% of the time.
- Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 75% of the time.
- Must be able to move within the office and plant to reach file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to use dexterity to handle small safety equipment and/or hazardous material.
- Must be able to lift and carry 15-25 pounds and frequently move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Generally, works in a manufacturing environment but is also required to perform job duties in a typical office setting.
- This position regularly requires large amounts of time to be spent using manufacturing equipment, which generally entails regular and repetitive motions along with exposure to loud noises. All safety procedures should be adhered to in these situations.
- This position also requires some amount of time to be spent using computer equipment, which entails regular and repetitive motions.
- Will regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.
- Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where use of appropriate safety equipment is required.
- Work includes indoor and outdoor environment during possible adverse weather conditions.

Compensation Range: $17.00 to $18.50 per hour
