K-2nd Grade Classroom Teacher
Metrolina Regional Scholars Academy seeks talented K-2nd grade teacher to become part of our faculty. Problem based learning, real-world learning experiences; accelerated content, social-emotional learning, and intellectual engagement are at the core of the curricular program. The ideal teacher for this position is passionate about working with gifted children, committed to innovative pedagogy, and demonstrates a personal commitment to life-long learning. It is recommended that the candidate have experience developing project-based curricula, command of concept-based mathematics instruction; and the ability to develop students in areas of social-emotional learning. Scholars Academy seeks an individual who loves children, models professional ethics, and understands the rewards and challenges of teaching gifted children.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Experience working a school setting with elementary aged children
- Demonstrated mastery in area of study and ability to teach within and across academic disciplines
- Excellent communication skills
- Be fully licensed or willing to obtain North Carolina teacher licensure
- Has strong classroom management and organization skills

- Hold an advanced degree in teaching area
- Successful teaching experience in an elementary classroom

- Are independent, reflective, flexible, and adaptable
- Work comfortably with technology

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
