Role Description:
Our Finance Department is a pretty action-packed place as far as bookkeeping and accounting goes! We don’t just write purchase orders and receive invoices (though of course there’s a lot of that), but the process is integral to actually making things, getting design fees from clients, shipping all over the world, etc. We deal with inventories, banks, but also RFP data, applications, all kinds of paperwork, in addition to the typical data entry.
In order to fulfill all these tasks, the Finance Team interacts closely, daily with our entire sales and production team, vendors and illustrious clients. We are looking for a bright, meticulous junior accountant to join our team, learn the ropes, start out small and easy and build trust to help us manage the above plus daily accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- This role will provide financial support such as data entry related to customers, vendors and bookkeeping
- Issue invoices to customers
- Ensure receivables are collected promptly
- Review vendor payables and statements
- Preparing reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc) timely and accurately
- Ensure transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Monitor customer retention
- Collaborate with sales to make sure SOP’s are met

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business with 3+ years’ experience
- A very strong QuickBooks background and skills
- Excellent organization and record keeping skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Capable of working independently and accurately
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn CRM entry and monitoring (i.e. Salesforce, Zoho)
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent computer skills and comfortable with technology
