Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist/Scheduler
Job Summary:
Grace Rehab Inc. Orthotics & Prosthetics is seeking an enthusiastic multi-tasker to join our growing practice as a front desk receptionist and patient scheduler. The reception/scheduler position is responsible for accepting incoming office calls, scheduling patient care appointments and clinic days for clinicians, along with maintaining organization for the Grace Rehab office/clinic. The reception/scheduler position is also responsible for maintaining billing payer requirements for both Government and Non-Government payers. The right candidate will have working knowledge of the healthcare field and exceptional customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Create and maintain accurate client and clinician schedules in our scheduling system.
- Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Follow up with all client and clinician issues to ensure their problems are resolved.
- Review of insurance information, demographics, authorizations, charge adjustments and coding information for validity.
- Send requests to facility/internal to resolve barriers of clean claim submission and obtain required documentation needed for specific paper claim submission.
- Review insurance websites, contact payers and/or employers to ensure insurance information/authorizations/claim numbers are valid.
- Monitor, review, and suggests revisions or updates to existing forms, documents, and processes required to facilitate timely billing and collections
- Maintain organization for all front office duties
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Assist with project coordination tasks as needed
- Perform order entry and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure seamless communication
- Assist with general office tasks as required
Skills:
- Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role
- Familiarity with orthotic office or medical receptionist duties is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using phone systems and office equipment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency in calendar management software
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or business office focused including insurance medical billing

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Insurance Websites, Host Systems (Opie), Workflow tools and Microsoft Processing software, Spreadsheet software and Database software.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
