Princeton Radiology Associates is a physician group practice providing diagnostic imaging services at ten imaging centers and two hospitals in New Jersey.
Princeton Radiology Associates is currently seeking a full-time Pre-Registration Representative to work in our outpatient imaging facility in Princeton. This position may possibly relocate to our outpatient imaging facility in East Windsor.
Summary of Position:
The Pre-Registration Representative is responsible for ensuring verification of insurance information, plan benefits and pre-certification requirements, and documents patient’s financial obligation prior to scheduled appointment.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient’s insurance information and eligibility for services.
- Verify pre-certification and referral requirements are needed prior to services.
- Document patient financial obligation; copays, coinsurance, deductible, self-pay etc.
- Communicate with insurance companies, referring physicians, and/or patients to verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization status as needed.
- Re-schedule patients as needed.
- Input proper corrections in RIS (Radiology Information System) as needed.
- Demonstrate ability to keep abreast of regulatory and insurance requirements ensuring that changes are incorporated in daily job functions.
- Assist with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one year of medical office pre-registration experience required.
- Must be able to work: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm and approximately one Saturday per month 7:30am-11:30am.
- Flexible to cover shifts as needed.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks on a timely basis and work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to speak effectively and present a pleasant, profession demeanor/image during telephone conversations or in person.
- Adherence to follow established procedures and make sound decisions based on those procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to policy.
