Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities include:
- Assures the proper functioning of all the physical plant, mechanical equipment and systems, including routine and preventative maintenance, and the compliance to al Community policies and procedures and state and federal regulations. Maintains clean and safe physical environment for Residents and Community Team Members and assures the protection of Community assets.
- Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
- Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
- Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment
issues.
- Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
- Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required. Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful.
