Protective Services Worker - Hybrid - Hiring Bonus!
Seeking a full time/part time (37.5 hours/week) Protective Services Worker. The Protective Services Worker works within the Protective Services Department. Job responsibilities include: receives reports and investigates, in the home/community setting, allegations of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation; develops and implements service plans with the goal of eliminating/reducing risk to the elder; determines need for any legal involvement and uses court interventions as needed; communicates with other agency staff on a regular basis on shared cases, refers situations of serious abuse to the District Attorney, maintains up to date electronic consumer records, and provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
- Field of Degree in:* Social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, public policy, or gerontology preferred.*
- At least 2 years’ experience working in human service field preferred.
- Use of a reliable vehicle including active vehicle insurance with a current license to drive required.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and team skills.
- Ability to multitask, keep accurate records, have a strong attention to detail, document clearly, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing, all within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Share Point, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
· Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds and have the ability to climb stairs.
*A hiring bonus will be awarded in 2 parts, half at 120 Days, and half at 1 year of active employment. The bonus for this position is $2,500.
