The Opportunity:
This person will assume many roles and will need to be nimble and quick to learn new technologies. An ideal candidate has solid experience in full-stack development as well as application architecture. They should be a self-starter, a natural problem-solver, and exhibit strong attention to detail and be comfortable communicating to senior leadership to make technology recommendations.

Essential Job Functions

Design and develop necessary code and tests to implement the features and functions of the application

Design and build infrastructure and processes that support the platform

Explore and learn new technologies as they become relevant to the application

Continually identify areas of improvement in the code, process, and infrastructure to help us deploy quality code, faster

Collaborate with team on product direction and specifications

Interface with clients and prospects to aid the sales process

Build and manage the day to day operations of a team of high-performing engineers

Commitment to quality and timely delivery of tasks

Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, and applications to ensure ongoing productivity and meet deadlines for deliverables.

Train and coach new and existing employees on SDLC best practices while providing technical support when needed

Make recommendations on new technologies to Senior leadership to increase efficiency and productivity

Analyze department needs, identify gaps, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions

7-10 years as a software engineer

3-5 years of experience leading a team of engineers preferred

5+ years of coding experience with either of the follow languages JavaScript,.NET Core, with a willingness and ability to learn new ones

An understanding of engineering fundamentals: testing automation, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery and DevOps
-
Experience working with continuous integration & continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture

Experience making recommendations to leadership on technology innovations to increase productivity and effectiveness.
