What Masterwerks Expects from you:
As an ASE Certified Automotive Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an automotive technician.
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
- Communicating with Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by Masterwerks as “special tools.”
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
Customer Service:
Much of Masterwerks success has been the friendly atmosphere. This is a most important aspect of your job. This employee will exert the following

- Willingness to listen to others attentively. Ability to converse cheerfully with others.
- It may call for the employee to exercise judgment in "going the extra mile". (Service not normally considered part of the job)

- Thanks, customers, for their business and ask them to return.
Selling:
This factor will come very easy for you if you provide the friendliness and customer service as stated above. It includes all of those tasks and activities related to the selling of products and services. For the most part, this effort consists of suggestive selling and is a natural outgrowth of providing good customer service. Specific tasks include:
- Sell bay services when opportunities present themselves.
- Ability and willingness to sell additional products and services through add ons,
- Learn the products and services offered, and their prices for services you perform
- Directs customers to proper individual for scheduling bay services or scheduling other items.
- Attend all training sessions and meetings assigned.
Teamwork mentality:
This factor is critical to you and your success at Masterwerks Tire & Auto. This relates to your ability to work together toward organizational objectives (This will be discussed at meetings and on an individual basis). Specific elements include such things as:
- Doubling up to work on customers as necessary.
- Not leaving your tasks for the next guy.
- Helping fellow employees in learning about products, procedures, selling, etc Maintaining a good mental outlook to help others stay uplifted and positive about themselves and Masterwerks.
- Maintain and accept 100% responsibility for communicating.
Safety/ Security:
This factor focuses on those behaviors which reflect a concern for the safety of you, fellow employees, customers, and the physical premises. Key points include the following but not limited to: * Be aware of what is going on around you. Notifies manager of equipment and facility conditions that may create a safety/security hazard
- Knowledge of all operating and emergency procedures.
- Knowledge of location of emergency telephone list.
- A keen sense of safety.
- Ability to detect shoplifting.
- A good visual memory.
- Verifies deliveries- insurers that amount of goods delivered by delivery personnel match amount on invoice or paperwork in order to avoid deliberate or accidental "overcharges" or "shortages"
- A general concern for the environment and proper handling of such issues.
Housekeeping:
This factor includes those tasks and responsibilities relating to maintaining an attractive, clean, orderly appearing premises. Specific tasks, activities, and responsibilities include:
- Willingness to "get hands dirty" and clean up the messes of others. Periodically dusts merchandise to keep it appearing clean and attractive.
- Parking lot maintenance.
- Keep floor clean by sweeping and mopping it regularly or as needed.
- Empties all trash receptacles as necessary (breaks down boxes before putting into dumpster)
- Clean and maintain equipment, service vehicle, & tools.
Miscellaneous:
- Ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to accept on the spot criticism.
- Ability to plan and organize your days’ work.
- Sincere effort to perform more than one major task simultaneously.
- Ability to stand up for long periods of time
- Sincere effort to use time wisely.
