Job Summary:
Coach, coordinate and support the efforts of shift members to achieve our established mission and goals. To ensure shift personnel placement meets production requirements. To ensure the production schedule is followed correctly. Monitor adherence to quality, safety, housekeeping and timekeeping standards and take corrective action as needed. Insure the shift personnel have the proper tools and systems to perform their jobs. Documentation of personnel files. Assist members with development and growth. Serve as an information link to other shifts, leadership, corporate and customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct, organize and coordinate efforts for production
- Member development and training
- Monitor housekeeping and safety issues and react accordingly
- Documentation (timesheets, production reporting, log books, personnel files)
- Ensure adequate staffing and adjust according to schedule changes
- Monitor SPC and react to quality issues
- Plan, organize, communicate and attend meetings (team and staff meetings)
Nature and Scope:
Responsible for the coordination of all activities for the assigned shift to ensure productivity and quality targets are met. May work day, evening and/or night shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
Two or four year degree preferred. In lieu of degree, have at least three years of supervisory experience in a high speed automated manufacturing plant, or have demonstrated leadership characteristics consistently throughout WCC career (i.e. progression in SBC program, involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects, active in the training/development of other members, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
- Must be able to visually inspect machines
- Must be able push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
