Position Overview:
LPT Realty is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Real Estate Post Closing Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring post-closing compliance meets all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting and compliance, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Review:
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of real estate transaction files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, agents, and legal counsel to resolve compliance-related issues and provide guidance on best practices.
2. Commission Review:
- Review and verify company commissions for accuracy and ensure that agents are paid the correct amounts based on agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Conduct audits to reconcile commission payments with transaction records, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate commission processing.
3. Disbursement Setup and Review:
- Oversee the setup of disbursement for agent's funds, ensuring that all required documentation and approvals are obtained.
- Review disbursement requests and verify the accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders or third-parties to ensure timely disbursement of commission funds to agents, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Recordkeeping and Documentation:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of compliance activities, audits, and commission reviews.
- Prepare reports and presentations on compliance-related metrics, findings, and recommendations for management.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information related to real estate transactions, commissions, and agent funds.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, real estate, business administration, or a related field, preferred not required. *Equivalent work experience, real estate license and prior compliance knowledge will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate transactions, preferably with exposure to accounting or compliance-related functions.
- Knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using real estate management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
