Social Pet Hotel & Daycare is looking to hire a positive, hard-working dog lover with leadership experience to work as a full-time Customer Service Specialist at our Pineville, NC facility. This position starts at $15/hr, PLUS TIPS after your initial onboarding period. All of our employees are eligible for performance-based bonuses, free daycare for their dogs while on shift, 12 free nights of lodging, and more. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST
As a Customer Service Specialist you are the main point of contact for pet parents. With a welcoming smile, you greet them and their pets as they enter our establishment. You maintain accurate records of all incidents and competently discuss each dog's experiences with their human parents. With attention to detail, you use our computer software program to keep records organized and up-to-date. You ensure that the customer service is exceptional in every way, going above and beyond to provide a turn-key, high-end experience for our amazing clients.
Using your excellent communication skills, you ensure Enrichment Specialists receive special instructions from pet parents and document them properly in each client file. You work side-by-side with the staff to complete all daily tasks to the highest standards. And, depending on your shift, you ensure that all opening or closing duties are completed properly.
Your ability to give and receive regular feedback, proactively address customer and staff challenges, and lead by example through daily positive interactions with the people and dogs around you is crucial to your success. You get to enjoy all kinds of canine love, from giant, enthusiastic, slobbery love to dainty, reserved love. You freely dole out petting and affection to dogs of all breeds and temperaments. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service experience highly preferred in a dog daycare or animal boarding facility
- Ability to complete Fetch Find Training and Customer Service Training upon hire
- Ability to complete Pet CPR and First Aid Training within 6 months of hire
- Completion of Fear Free Certification within 12 months of hire
- Option to become PACCC Certified
- Physically capable of handling dogs of all sizes
- Talking or hearing, standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and ability to taste and/or smell. Exposed to moderate noise, humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor elements, and vibration.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols

WORK SCHEDULE
This position typically works from 6:30 am - 12:00 pm and/or 1:45pm - 7:30 pm. Social Pet is open 365 days a year, so a willingness to work weekends and holidays is part of the job.
