The Journeyman SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SCR systems. This position requires a strong understanding of SCR technology, electrical and mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on SCR systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct Catalyst change outs in accordance with EPA, OSHA, Client and Company Standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to SCR systems.
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure systems are operating efficiently and within regulatory compliance.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman level certification in Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SCR system maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control systems.
- Must have OSHA 10 in Construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SCR technology and emissions control systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
