A chemical company in Baytown, TX is looking for a full time Boiler Tech to run and maintain onsite steam boilers and hot oil systems. Work schedule is Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and overtime as needed. Great pay with benefits. EOE / AAP
The Boiler Technician’s primary function is to operate, repair, maintain, and adjust boilers and hot oil systems, pumps, water lines, steam lines, valves, and all related systems and equipment.
Job Duties:
- Diagnose, repair, install equipment and communicate best solutions.
- Ensures all installations and repairs meet or exceed expectations.
- Diagnose malfunctions of equipment to determine cause and appropriate corrective action.
- Plans and lays-out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, codes, and work orders.
- Troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance on steam boilers and hot oil systems.
- Utilize combustion analysis equipment and properly adjust fire control systems.
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Able to trouble shoot, fire, and set combustion on all types of boilers and hot oil systems.
- Mechanical and electrical background.
- Must be able to read and work from schematics.
- Must have extensive knowledge of boiler controls.
- Have knowledge of PLC’s, transmitters, and other controls.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must always follow safety protocols.
- Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
