Job Purpose
The Production Maintenance Mechanic role is tiered into three (3) levels depending on the increased level of accountability and knowledge that the individual undertakes for the company. All Production Maintenance Technicians perform tasks to ensure the safe, reliable operation of oral dosage manufacturing equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains and troubleshoots equipment that supports utilities and manufacturing areas
- Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs, safety procedures and Quality Standards in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility are mandatory
- Ensure safe and efficient hands-on operations of utilities systems including Purified Water, compressed air, steam, thermal fluids, and components such as pumps, fans, and valves
- Install, operate, maintain, and repair multiple equipment through routine inspection and review
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive work of all associated equipment
- Help develop operating and maintenance procedures
- Ensure that operational logs and work order documentation is completed in a clear, accurate and timely manner
- Provide support for startup of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications
- Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair of building systems, equipment, and equipment components such as vessels, mixers, valves, and pumps
- Participate in equipment changeover and set up as required.
- Maintain inventory of necessary replacement parts to decrease machine downtime.
- Ensures Maintenance Team Leadership is informed of all developments on a routine basis
- Assist Maintenance Management in all area as directed
