Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our Maintenance Team. This person must embrace change, be self-motivated, and inspire others inside and outside the department. ABOUT THE JOB:
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will manage, plan, organize, lead and direct maintenance personnel and systems to optimize equipment effectiveness, ensure plant safety and maintain plant facilities. This position will ensure that maintenance personnel execute procedures, processes, work instructions, etc. in the manner prescribed while operating in a team-based environment. Supervises maintenance department employees.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Supervising workers responsible for the maintenance of production equipment and related systems.
- Assists with root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fixes.
- You must have a knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems and diagrams.
- You’ll provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports
- You’ll execute the policy deployment process within the maintenance functions
- Assess, train, and develop competencies within the maintenance organization
- Specify a maintenance plan for each equipment system. The plan should include predictive maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, inspection & monitoring activities, spare parts requirements, and organizational requirements.
- Review and analyze the execution of the maintenance plans and performance metrics. The performance metrics includes OEE, downtime, equipment history, departmental budget, workforce utilization, etc.
- Manage daily CMS System and day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Identify and procure materials for maintenance requirements.
- Champion health and safety initiative within the maintenance functions
- Support an operating culture within area of responsibility that promotes involvement,
communication, mutual trust and respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence
- Own and role model Plymouth Tube values and behaviors to develop and transform the company culture. Ensure that these values and behaviors are a part of everyday life at Plymouth Tube.
- Lead and participate in problem solving teams, TPM blitzes, and kaizen events in order to improve operating performance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
· Associates or Technical Degree in maintenance or related field or combination of education and equivalent relevant years of experience.
· 5+ experience as a supervisor
· 10+ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems and diagrams.
· Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
· Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
