Senior Account Manager

As the Senior Account Manager for our comprehensive landscaping, lawn care, and irrigation company, you will be a key player in ensuring high quality and profitable service for our customers. This role requires efficient coordination, team leadership, and a deep understanding of horticulture, arboriculture, and irrigation systems. Your objective is to ensure seamless service delivery, operations, maintain high service standards, and contribute to business growth and will report to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities include:
Account management and sales
- Cultivate positive client relationships through effective communication and professional service.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly.
- Proactively identify enhancement and upsell opportunities
- Pursue new sales opportunities
- Ensure bills are created correctly and timely
- Assist with collections when necessary
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control standards across all service areas.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure service excellence.
- Train crew leaders and supervisors on appropriate quality level
Service Delivery
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of landscaping, lawn care, irrigation, and arbor services.
- Schedule and allocate crews and resources to projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Ensure crews have the right equipment, vehicles and materials to deliver quality service
- Maintain and optimize the fleet of equipment and vehicles.
- Manage inventory of landscaping materials, irrigation components, and arborist tools.
- Inspire team members and drive efficiency and profitability, through solid business insight and strong leadership abilities
Cost control and budget management
- Develop estimates and manage costs for each customer, site and job
- Daily review of job costs and profitability, take corrective action as required
- Periodic review of maintenance contract profitability and taking corrective action for low margin accounts, including finding ways to reduce costs or increase price
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring profitability.
Safety:
- Continue to foster the existing safety culture and seek ways to improve it.
- Be an active leader and participant in “looking out for each other so no one gets hurt.”
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive records of project details, expenses, and client interactions.

- Effectively communicate (written/verbal) with other team members and leaders, including business development opportunities, schedules, coaching, corrective actions, customer issues, etc
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, but not necessary
- Solid interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution skills with customers, employees and subcontractors.
- Ability to understand costs, revenue, billing, budgets, hours worked and other accounting and business concepts
- Drive continuous improvement on processes
- Ability to use a computer, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) and ability to learn other applications used in performance and management of landscape services
- Work cross-functionally with senior leadership to drive decision making and internal alignment
- Natural instincts to balance confidence, humility and diplomacy – able to work with employees at all levels, from senior level executives to line workers
- Ability to work well as a thought partner to leaders across the organization and drive internal alignment
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Significant landscape experience, resulting in a clear understanding of different aspects of landscaping, turf maintenance, sitework, plant materials, plant diseases, pests and sitework
- Five (5) years of progressively increasing managerial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possession of valid driver’s license

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
