Summary:
The Scenario Desk Analyst serves as our subject matter expert supporting our Mortgage Bankers, Sales Manager, Processors, and other Operational Teams. The Analyst’s goal is to answer guideline questions, loan scenarios, income calculations, and assist with loan restructure.
Responsibilities:
· The Scenario Desk Analyst provides expert assistance in potential income applicability, credit risk etc.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for the scenario desk addressing inquiries, and interpretation of agency guidelines.
· Solving questions on loan scenarios and providing lending solutions.
· Calculating various types of income (Wage earner, self-employed, financial statements, and variable income)
· Identify and prioritize complex or advanced inquiries, escalating them to the VP of Operations.
· Provide solution-based answers and explanations of guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Expert knowledge with products and agency guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo. NONQM, Purchase, HELOCS, 2nd’, manufactured homes, COOP’S, condominiums, etc.
· Expert in Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LPA)
· Expert level knowledge of overall mortgage lending process, underwriting loan requirements, federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines related to consumer mortgage lending and internal processes, controls, and asset protection.
· Expert level knowledge of valid documentation related to the processing consumer mortgage applications (e.g., tax returns, financial statements and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.).
· Encompasses LOS experience preferred.
Education:
- High School or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
