We are looking for an Account Executive – Strategic Business Development to join our team! This position develops relationships throughout the account, grows an understanding of that account’s needs, goals, and direction, and then aligns our products and resources to help the account achieve what they want. We are looking for a self-starter that takes control of his or her daily sales process and continuously fills their schedule with strategies and tactics to drive new activities and new business. This individual will work with a multi-million-dollar customer’s corporate team, their field technical team, and their field sales team to gain mindshare and market share.
The successful candidate will stay laser focused on growing the residential cast iron and condensing boilers business with one of our major plumbing distributors as their primary duty. There will be some secondary duties with other business development activities outside of this major distribution account as time permits. The successful individual will be well compensated for market share growth.
This is a full time, exempt position. This position will work from home with travel necessary to get the job done.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Determines customer’s needs then aligns organization and products to help the customer accomplish their goals.

Manage the day-to-day management of a multimillion-dollar strategic distributor account.

Works with their corporate team on all aspects of longer-term strategic planning to ensure we are coupled with their direction in the marketplace.

Responsible for fulfilling all obligations of reporting, pricing, order flow, contract adherence, invoice/payment flows, and all other information flow between the two companies.

Drives the sales cycle in the field, turns the strategy into tactics, and implements tactics with the customer’s and the company’s teams.

Aligns product & application training, technical support, sales planning, customer engagement, targeted customer sales calls between the two organizations.

Becomes a product and industry expert to successfully drive the entire conversation with this account.

Develops, tracks, and communicates to management the account plans and on-going updates towards the achievement of growing the business. Provides weekly reports to the management team.

Make formal presentations when necessary.

Provides feedback to the management team on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for extending company offerings.

Conducts all activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

Pays a base salary commensurate with your sales experience, plus has a sales bonus program.
Qualifications/Requirements:

10+ years of total sales experience; at least 5 years managing major (multi-million dollar) accounts.

Experience with HVAC/Plumbing distribution channels.

5+ years of HVAC industry experience. Preference given to residential boiler / hydronics knowledge and experience.

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university

Excellent sales skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong technical background

Self-starter, concerned with results, high sense of urgency.

Motivated by money – this position pays a base salary with an annual bonus opportunity tied to business growth commensurate with your sales/account management experience.
