Job Title: Millwork Fabricator
We are a high-end millwork facility, located in Brooklyn NY, that produces custom cabinetry and architectural details for townhomes in Brooklyn, penthouse apartments in Manhattan, and luxury estates in the Hudson Valley. Our company is in search of a self-directed and experienced Millwork Fabricator to help execute a variety of architectural projects. The successful candidate will have a broad range of hands-on experience in a shop environment utilizing standard woodworking equipment such as sliding table saws, jointers, planers, shapers, bandsaws, etc. They will be responsible for reading shop drawings and taking direction from the Lead Fabricators to execute different tasks day-to-day. These tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
● Milling of rough lumber to accurate dimensions for fabrication.
● Operation of sliding table saw to cut down sheet goods to final dimension ensuring square parts.
● Joinery utilizing Lamello Zeta P2, Festool Domino, and standard cabinet saw techniques.
● Assembly of cabinet carcasses with pneumatic nail guns, glue, and screws.
● Operation of automatic edge banders and other equipment.
● Aiding in the development of jigs and tooling to solve fabrication problems.
● Dimensional sanding of parts before entering finishing.
● Careful labeling of parts for finishing.
● Material handling.
● Veneering and vacuum bag setup.
● Tech-up of finished components for quality control.
● Careful wrapping and labeling of finished products for shipment.
● On-site installation work as necessary.
The appropriate candidate will have strong communication skills and a solid work ethic. Candidates must have a teamwork mentality and should be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
● Must have at least 3 years in fine woodworking environment such as furniture/millwork/cabinetry.
● Experience with on-site installation.
● Strong ability and desire to learn.
● Strong understanding of all Shop Standards.
● Patience and attention to detail.
● Commitment to excellence and quality of work.
● Emphasis on shop safety, organization, and cleanliness.
● Understanding of math and measurements.
● Ability to work independently and on a team.
● Mechanical/technical aptitude is a must.
● Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
● Willingness to work a flexible schedule and perform overtime as needed.
● Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
