The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Distance Education Program Director is responsible for leveraging their expertise to develop, maintain, and deliver education services to students through maintaining the existing core curriculum, ensuring delivery of core curriculum, preparing course plans, schedules and material, supervising staff and providing program oversight. DMS Program Director monitors and manages student progress and attendance, student advising, and grade reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Direct both DMS programs advisory committee activities.
· Supervising Instructional Staff (including online). Providing Instruction when needed***
· Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
· Monitoring instructor lesson plans and their posting.
· Screening instructional applicants.
· Conduct In-Service trainings as needed.
· Annual curriculum and textbooks reviewing with residential/online instructors, externship coordinators, advisory board, and school director.
· Reviewing student evaluations of instructors and programs, externship evaluations, employer surveys, and graduate surveys.
· Assist in conducting new student orientation as needed.
· Overseeing and conducting in-service trainings.
· Assisting registrar and student services in maintaining employee and student records.
· Monitoring compliance in federal and accrediting standards.
· Adhering to academic policies/procedures for compliance.
· Conducting/assisting with new program development.
· Assisting with student advising.
· Assisting the Associated Director and the President with administrative functions.
· Other duties as assigned.
***Teaching and Instruction

3. Follow approved policies and procedures in the conduct of all instructional activities.
4. Use effective motivation to help stimulate a personal desire to learn the subject/skill(s).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Ultrasound Instructor/Technologist/Medical Diagnostic Sonographer.
Possession of at least two of the following ARDMS – Vascular (RVT), OB/GYN, General ABD and/or Breast Certification or License
- Ability to present a professional image and act as a role model
- Online Teaching/educating Experience is highly required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in their field.
- Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the Faculty member will be teaching.
- Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field.
- Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement.
- Motivation and enthusiasm for the job and having sensitivity to student needs and interests.
- Passion for helping students to attain their educational/career goals.
- Knowledge of Zoom and Canvas platforms are MUST.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
