We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support to our medical facility. This is a full-time position, Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm. Our office is closed Friday, Satruday and Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register patients by verifying demographic information and insurance coverage
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Collect and process patient payments
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records systems (AdvancedMD)
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly and cheerful communication
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
