Job Responsibilities:
Company and Project Budgeting and Cost Tracking
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control
- Assist forecasting activities with site management
- Estimate cash flow
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or processes
Payroll
- Ensure the proprietary nature of payroll information is protected and remains confidential
- Support the hiring of new employees
- Process weekly payroll for employees and administer all changes, i.e. pay rates, accruals, and deductions, including certified payroll reporting and compliance
- Issue manual checks as required
- Fringe benefit and training fund reporting, and payments submissions
- Benefits management, enrollment, changes, notices, and terminations
- Workers compensation reporting and processing
- Process wage garnishments
Software
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and Word
- Experience with a construction accounting software such as Foundation
Month End & Tax Preparation
- Assist with the preparation and reporting requirements as required
- Manage depreciation schedules to ensure accuracy
- Reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card accounts, and equipment loans
- Investigate and correct reconciliation discrepancies
- Compile Quarterly WIP schedules
Accounts Receivable / Payable / Insurance
- Monthly accounts receivable AIA progress billing
- Tracking, submitting, and collecting payment for extra work bills and change orders
- Accurately enter invoices and make payments per company protocols
- Weekly accounts payable check runs
- New account and project set-up
- Verify invoices and subcontracts against purchase orders
- Collect vendor W9’s throughout the year
- Reconcile all accounts
- Handle vendor credit applications
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong ownership of work including the desire to produce excellent quality
- Writing skills to prepare and edit a variety of critical correspondence, reports, presentations, and informational documents
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to anticipate, identify issues and propose solutions
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Must be able to maintain confidential information
- Must be able to work independently as well as work collaboratively with the team
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and regulations
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years experience in construction accounting
- A minimum of 4 years experience in processing payroll

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
