Job Overview:
The data analyst is a dynamic, collaborative, experienced individual that supports the entire organization. Managing, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to internal and external stakeholders as well as to assist with assessing and analyzing our internal systems and processes to identify efficiency and quality improvement opportunities to support the growth of the business. You will be part of our small, but mighty, shared services group reporting to the Head of Technology.
Location: Remote – Hybrid optional in Birmingham Alabama
Duties:
- Define and implement customized reporting for clients and business partners.
- Analyzing results, and identifying patterns and trends, as well as opportunities for improvement.
- Creating & delivering results via reports to serve both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, produce, maintain, and enhance reporting for external and internal data requests. Assure compliance with requirements and standards.
- Research, formulate, and communicate moderate to complex data and regulatory reporting solutions.
- Analyze data, processes, workflows, documentation, and systems/systems development to provide assurance of data integrity, quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding data concerns/issues.
- Recommend process and efficiency improvements, quality control measures, and reporting best practices.
- Research, interpret, and apply industry requirements and acquire necessary clarifications, and develop, document, maintain, and implement business and technical requirements.
- Participate in projects of limited size and scope, which impact data and regulatory reporting, including involvement in cross-functional change management working groups and committees.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline workflows and ensure consistency,
- Assist with technical onboarding of new customers and translating customer data exchange needs.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their operational needs and challenges.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Qualification and Skills:
- Experience in data models and reporting solutions
- Ability to analyze large datasets and produce user-specific reporting
- A curious, analytical mind with appetite for problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Critical thinking, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Professional Experience: 3-6 years as a business/data/technical analyst, with mandatory experience in healthcare sector
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, PowerBI, Microsoft SQL, and Python a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on deadlines and results.
Technology Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Ability to use conventional office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, computer). Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving software.
