The Community Liaison is responsible for managing aspects of assigned organization marketing/sales. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responds to customer requests and concerns, and completes applicable election of benefit informational meetings as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Builds, monitors, and maintains positive relationships with assigned referral sources by providing exceptional customer service. Facilitates meetings with accounts regularly.
2. Educates referral sources, the community, patients/families about hospice and palliative care services. Maintains working knowledge of all services offered by Islands Hospice and community partners.
3. Generates referrals/admissions from assigned accounts/territories meeting or exceeding assigned monthly targets.
4. Facilitates election of benefit meetings, completing consents as appropriate. Follows up with pending patients regularly.
5. Attends all scheduled meetings as outlined by the Executive Director/Lead Liaison(s).
6. Adheres to all laws, statutes and regulation regarding anti-kickback, lawful marketing activities (gifts and services), patient solicitation, and accurate marketing materials.
7. Continuously conducts market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
8. Employs marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve community education.
9. Provides feedback in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
10. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
11. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by Islands Hospice.
12. Monitors and reports cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.
13. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, and flexibility in performing job duties.
14. Provides occasional evening and weekend coverage per the on-call liaison rotation. Notifies supervisor timely as appropriate if scheduling conflicts arise.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; preferred.
2. At least three (3) years’ experience in health care marketing management, preferably in hospice, home health or home care operations. At least one year experience in sales preferred.
3. Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
4. Demonstrates excellent communications and public relations skills.
5. Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Education:
Experience:
- health care marketing management: 3 years (Required)
- sales: 1 year (Preferred)
- nursing (RN): 1 year (Required)
