The Evening cook is responsible for serving lunch and preparing dinner, following safety and sanitation standards, following therapeutic diet recommendations, assisting with clean up and kitchen maintenance, and other job duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Prepare food that is palatable and appetizing in appearance and taste
· Follow written menus
· Understand and prepare therapeutic diets
· Responsible for meals being prepared and served on time
· Understands and follows food/kitchen safety and sanitation practices
· Serves food according to patient/resident/guest preferences
· Anticipates and acts to maintain a safe work environment
· Assists with washing and putting away of dishes
· Follows proper procedure for closing kitchens
Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Ability to stand/walk for an extended period while continuously performing job duties
· Ability to lift 50 pounds
· Ability to work at a face pace
· Willing and able to work weekends and holidays
· Customer service experience, preferred
· 1-year foodservice experience, preferred
