We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join our opening team at our Divan, a brand new steakhouse experience in downtown Chicago. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction, driving sales, and providing strong leadership to our front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
2. Guest Satisfaction:
- Monitor dining room operations to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
- Proactively engage with guests to gather feedback and make necessary improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
3. Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive sales by promoting menu items, specials, and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
4. Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead by example and inspire excellence in customer service and teamwork among front-of-house staff.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver consistent and exceptional service. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
5. Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for providing memorable dining experiences.
- Proven ability to drive sales and achieve revenue targets through effective upselling techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and motivate team members.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems, reservation systems, and industry best practices.
