Position Summary: The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations to the Human Resources Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support on day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate human resources files, records and documentation.
- May assist with recruiting, the onboarding process and new hire orientation.
- Manage inquiries from Team Members and act as a liaison between the organization and external contacts.
- Maintain compliance with FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, ERISA, etc.
- Perform regular audits of HR files and prepare audit documentation as needed.
- Assist with unemployment claims process.
- Assist with planning and execution of organizational events, meetings, etc.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be skilled at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, with Team Members of all levels of the organization and in a professional manner at all times.
Required Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years experience in Human Resource field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
