We are currently seeking a contract attorney to help evaluate incoming cases for approximately 24 hours per week. Our case evaluation team is the face of our firm and consistently provides exceptional customer service, case reviews, and advice. Calls are handled remotely through our cloud-based phone system, and information from the calls is compiled in our cloud-based matter management system. Because we regularly provide callers with legal advice, applicants for this position MUST be licensed in Georgia.
The ideal candidate MUST have the following:
- Current Georgia or Alabama law license (or willingness to reactivate inactive GA or AL license).
- Excellent computer skills.
- Internet signal sufficient to support clear VOIP calls.
- Flexibility and willingness to meet call coverage needs.
- Desire to help others and provide explanations about legal rights in the workplace.
- Strong interest in investigating the legal basis of potential claims.
- Ability to interview callers effectively and efficiently, issue spot, and advise accordingly.
- Professional and empathetic phone presence.
- Enthusiasm for the work we do.
- Commitment to reliability and dependability.
- Must have at least two (2) years of employment law experience, or two (2) years of legal experience, plus a clear passion for learning employment law.
