We are currently seeking a dedicated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team in Chicago, IL!
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant will play a crucial role within our team, contributing to a professional environment that prioritizes quality service and work-life balance. This role involves supporting a group of intellectual property attorneys by managing their operational and administrative needs in a collaborative setting.
The ideal candidate is proactive, capable of balancing multiple work demands, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the firm’s administrative practice, ensuring exceptional client service and efficient process management.
- Utilize and optimize technology tools to enhance productivity across legal and administrative tasks.
- Assist with new matter openings, conflict checks, trademark prosecution dockets, and preparation of legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Handle correspondence, manage sensitive billing inquiries, and manage various calendars and schedules.
- Work closely with legal staff to manage schedules, maintain files, and support internal team operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Intellectual Property law specific to Trademark
- Experience with electronic filing and court dockets
- Paralegal Certificate (Preferred)
- Ability to commute to our downtown office and be on-site M-F
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
