Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Senior Associate at our Commercial Real Estate Debt Brokerage. The Senior Associate will play a key role in leading and executing complex debt transactions, providing mentorship to junior team members, and fostering client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commercial real estate finance, a proven track record of success in debt brokerage or lending, and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the origination and execution of commercial real estate debt transactions, including debt placement, refinancing, and structured finance solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, lenders, and other industry stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional development and growth.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and underwriting of potential transactions, evaluating risk factors, and recommending appropriate financing structures.
- Lead negotiations with lenders and borrowers to achieve favorable terms and conditions for clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties, including legal counsel, appraisers, and due diligence providers, to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in commercial real estate finance.
- Assist in business development efforts, including identifying new client prospects and participating in marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, debt brokerage, investment banking, or a related field.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully closing complex debt transactions across various asset classes and deal structures.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and lenders.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities, including proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
- Deep knowledge of commercial real estate markets, lending practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth.
