Our agency client is seeking a Sales Director in the B2B Automotive Marketing space who will be responsible for prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and engaging new customers.
This is a fully remote role with 20 - 30% travel for client meetings, events, and tradeshows.
The purpose of this role is to generate new revenue for the company through the development and acquisition of new customer relationships. The Sales Director is a champion in the automotive industry, prospecting automakers, automotive product companies, automotive aftermarket companies and agencies working in the automotive industry to sell agency services: test drive event design and production, and content creator services and influencer marketing.
Sales Director Responsibilities:
Develops, presents proposals, and closes sales for services to prospective new customers.
Build and maintain productive, professional relationships with prospective new customers and clients
Prospect new business relationships, telling the client story via both virtual and in-person meetings to qualified customer and client contacts
Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities to achieve KPIs, reporting prospecting activity in our CRM and proposals in our pipeline reporting platform.
Work with the Marketing Director and at the direction of the VP Sales & Business Development to develop prospecting resources including updates to our website, collateral, proposals, etc. to improve the effectiveness of new business sales.
Support the development, organization and submissions of proposals, RFP and RFQ responses as appropriate to close new sales.
Attend industry events to represent the company, build and make connections
Negotiate with customers and clients to close deals on terms, conditions and rates that align with company
Engage with key operations personnel and teams to learn their unique expertise and resources to effectively share their stories, impact and value to new customers and clients.
Assist in managing new customer and client relationships during initial engagements to ensure a successful program or campaign, resulting in repeat business and an ongoing partnership.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an agency selling and partnering with Automotive clients- Experience with selling marketing and content creation services such as PR, experiential, influencer
- Excellent prospecting, qualifying and presentation skills for sales prospecting and proposals - Travel 1-2 times per month as needed for major events
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and experience with CRM and sales pipeline reporting.
