Job Summary for Administrative Asst. Receptionist
Receives calls, determines nature of business and directs callers to the appropriate persons. Greets clients, determines reason for appointment and notifies appropriate staff. Performs clerical duties. Meets the communication needs of the clients/family, office. clinic staff and the medical staff. Participates in performance improvement activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Register all visitors using sign-in sheets, gives visitor name badges for identification
· Collect payments and writes receipts for federal drug screens.
· Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner; takes messages; directs calls to appropriate staff members
· Maintain employee phone list and email to employees when updated
· Forward faxes to appropriate recipients
· Maintain a good working relationship with office/clinical staff members and physicians
· Observe female federal drug screens when needed
· Back up for Drug Screener when they are not in, unlock/lock up Medical Records and Drug Screening rooms
· Request other employees to observe drug screens using rotation.
· Complete drug screen paperwork and prepare Fed Ex boxes and Airborne Express bags for mailing.
· Audit closed files in EMR.
· Perform Assigned Duties as requested by Direct Supervisor and/or Directors
· Performs other duties as assigned
Regulatory Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
· Valid Driver’s License required
· One-year experience in office setting or hospital setting preferred
Language Skills:
· Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
· Additional languages preferred
Skills:
· Basic computer knowledge
· Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
