MAIL PROCESSOR B, Facilities-Campus Services-Mail Services Group, to be responsible for picking up, sorting, and delivering all Institute mail. Duties include sorting and delivering all U.S. mail, interdepartmental mail, packages, and courier items in a timely fashion; picking up mail and packages and driving mail service vehicle; processing incoming and outgoing packages for pickup and delivery; performing data entry to track or charge back services; metering and preparing outbound mail; receiving work order assignments, ordering material, and completing tasks; providing written comments on work orders as necessary; reading work orders and following job specifications, completing paperwork, and adhering to procedures and regulations; providing work reports, reading requisitions and work orders, signage, and general instructions; training (with supervision) other mail services personnel in the duties of mail processor B; and coordinating with department’s administrative staff on the details of specific assignments.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least one year of applicable experience; driver’s license and ability to get a driver’s medical certificate by the date of hire; ability to write and use email, IT equipment and software utilized for work order tracking, and other types of job-specific technology; and ability to read and understand written directions, safety signage, and other documents. Working conditions: lifting weights of up to fifty pounds, ascending/descending stairs, traversing the campus, and moving packages from the ground to other positions in tight quarters for extended periods of time, wearing of personal protective equipment as required by the specific assignment.
