Care One Pharmacy located in Niles, IL is an independently owned pharmacy servicing long-term care, assisted living, and group home facilities across IL, IN, OH, WI, and MO.
Care One is growing and we need to add staff! We are looking for motivated and reliable Pharmacy technicians who can work in our Pharmacy Technician Toting position. Must have an active and valid Pharmacy Technician's license from the State of IL and currently Certified or can secure Certification within 18 months of hire. All positions required rotating weekends and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Motivated and highly reliable candidates sought. The Pharmacy Technician Toter have a wide variety of responsibilities.
- Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician (preferred)
- Ability to fulfill the required schedule consistently
- Ability to stand, walk and reach for medications
- Assist the pharmacists in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy when needed
- Expedite STAT or Urgent Orders
- Willing to learn and support the team to get the deliveries out on pre-determined timelines and ensures that all runs are leaving on time.
- Review prescription labels, pull medications and fill according to guidelines
- Works according to facility delivery schedule, prioritizes
- Contribute to the efficient workflow of the pharmacy by maintaining a high productivity level and an error-free work product.
- Communicates with supervisors and teammates consistently and appropriately as necessary
- Updates NDC numbers in software system as necessary
- Prepares bulk medications as per orders
- Maintain the orderliness of the pharmacy by keeping pharmacy countertops and drug bay shelves tidy and organized.
- Must be able to obtain a pharmacy tech license via IDPFR
