Position Summary
The front of the house manager is responsible for the supervision of restaurant operation, including adherence to health regulations. Oversees assigned staff to ensure achievements of overall financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive employee relations in accordance with the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation of the restaurant to include labor management, inventory control, and supervision of all aspects of service.
- Ensures work environment promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, employee satisfaction, quality hiring, training, and succession process.
- Ensures compliance with SNHD regulations and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding food and alcohol service.
- Maintains excellent knowledge of food and beverage products, menu items, and equipment used to perform duties.
- Effectively read, write, and communicate in English.
- Maintains excellent knowledge of the retail merchandise products.
- Provides input and recommendations to General Manager when changes to product offerings, menu design, service, and staffing needs.
- Communicates daily with Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef, providing current information such as restaurant conditions, large parties, and VIPs.
- Manages dining room and kitchen to ensure high-quality delivery of product and service.
- Ensures that the restaurant is clean, organized, and properly functioning. Ensures that the restaurant equipment is maintained.
- Able to conduct multiple daily pre-shift meetings with staff.
- Reviews and completes daily payroll, meeting operational productivity standards.
- Works with the management team to deliver consistent discipline/corrective actions.
- Must be effective at listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by guests.
- Professionally train and model appropriate guest service standards.
- Promote collaboration and a positive/professional work environment.
- Attends weekly and other appropriate meetings and communicates with all responsible staff.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- At least 2 years of management experience in a high-volume dining environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge in beer, wine, and spirits.
- Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language.
- Banquet experience preferred.
- Required Work Cards: Health Card, Sheriff’s Card, Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Micros POS system.
- Knowledge of 7-Shifts and SEVENROOMS preferred.
- Work authorization required: United States.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to stand for an extended period. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-pound objects.
Work Conditions
Must be able to stand and walk for 10-12 hours in a fast-paced, crowded, and noisy environment including nights, weekends, and holidays.
