TITLE: Dispatch Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Dispatch
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Position Summary:
The Dispatch Supervisor, under the direction of the Operations Manager, leads the dispatch department ensuring operations and company objectives are met in the areas of safety, quality, customer satisfaction, operational and cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:

Responsible for the supervision of the dispatch department

Address all customer issues, complaints, and inquiries by speaking with frontline employees and customers.

Maintain contact between drivers and operations, dispatching drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers' locations and loads, and daily factors to balance cost and speed of response.

Oversees planning, distributing, monitoring and following-up daily route assignments for residential, roll-off and commercial drivers to ensure customers are serviced per Tiger Sanitation standards and agreements.

Responsible for effectively communicating with both drivers and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and communicating service changes to the Sales Department.

Oversees the review of routes, entering customer information to database, and closing work orders from previous day routes, identifying, and correcting any issues.

Responsible for maintaining all data in appropriate systems including the following:

Verify all dump tickets have been received and entered the company’s enterprise risk management software.

Close tickets and note in the company’s enterprise risk management software.

Enter new drivers, trucks, and route data information in the company’s enterprise risk management software
-
Update "Deployment Spreadsheets” and provide to Supervisors.

Oversees the distribution and maintenance of driver tablets
-
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
5 or more years' experience in dispatch or logistics, required
-
2 or more years supervisory experience, required
-
Previous experience utilizing enterprise risk management software and Microsoft Office products.
-
Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
-
Excellent organizational and customer service skills
Working Conditions
This position will be primarily in an office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and using manual dexterity to operate computer-based systems.
