WHO WE ARE: We are a small coaching, teaching, and training business making a positive difference in people’s lives. We teach modern, healthy play styles with a positive player development approach. Character and social development are both tenets in our junior programs. Character and tennis performance cannot be separated, nor can the social aspects of development and lifetime play be separated from the game.
We believe in positive coaching, always. Kids and adults learn better with enjoyment, and you will enjoy your coaching more as well. You can be a part of making a world of difference.
Our curriculum goes beyond the common certifications and integrates them into a holistic package. Our mantra includes continuous lifelong learning, and continuous improvement of ourselves and others. We develop players’ physical, mental, emotional and life skills.
One curriculum, many coaches.
You will have the opportunity to improve your coaching skills and improve our curriculum. Up to your level of play, you will have opportunities to: teach children and adults; coach teams of juniors and adults; organize and facilitate play days, hit-arounds, and socials for juniors and adults; run after-school tennis programs and coach middle/high school players; coach at day camps; and/or teach 10 and under tennis starting from age 5 in multi-coach group lessons. Tiny tennis with 3 to 5-year-old children is another curriculum we need coaches for. We teach private, small groups, larger groups, and teams. We work hard and have fun!
Racquet services such as stringing and gripping are a plus, and if you are interested in becoming a certified racquet technician, we can train you in that as well.
EXPERIENCE: We are looking for coaches with at least 2 to 10 years of work experience in some types of education, including classroom teachers, PE teachers, and of course tennis teachers. Teaching is a critical skill for work with Advantage Tennis. Your experience working with kids is valuable.
