This position is four days in the office and one day remote.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing financial planning, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Provides technical and analytical support to ongoing business operations in the areas of financial forecasting, financial reporting, cost and profitability analysis
- Serve as the power user for our business intelligence module; PowerBI
- Assists in month-end close process including running profitability analysis, month end journal entries and preparing management reports
- Prepares the monthly financial reports for senior management
- Prepare and analyze month-end home margin results and evaluates variances compared to budget
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of our General Ledger system including entity structure as well as chart of accounts
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, budgets and forecasts and publish monthly financials on a timely basis
- Develop financial models and strategies for long-term and short-term financial performance
- Responsible for creating and maintaining our long range financial plan
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts
- Key liaison of PowerBI reporting, ensuring timely and accurate reports
- Provide back-up to Accounting Team for payroll, accounts payable and other accounting activities
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts as necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions and complete necessary reporting for banks (borrowing base, covenant calculations, etc)
- Develop performance metrics to measure and track the organization’s financial performance
- Assist in the management of MS Dynamics Business Central 365 ERP system
- Work closely with CFO and accounting team to ensure the timely delivery of above responsibilities
- Assists CFO on projects as required
Qualifications
- Live in the Minneapolis Twin Cities area or plan to relocate. Live within 30 minutes from Coon Rapids preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years professional experience in construction accounting preferred
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and Google Sheets
- Knowledge of Construction Cost Accounting software preferred
- Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management and vendors
- Able to work as a team player
- Open to development of skills and knowledge
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
- Excellent customer service skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
