Senior Accountant
Job Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department and enforcing and updating accounting policies and procedures within the department and for the day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions, including but not limited to: helping the Business improve overall acumen, process and reporting of key operating and financial metrics, month-end and year-end closings, management reporting, balance sheet and bank account reconciliations, research, resolution of discrepancies, 1099-Misc forms, A/R management, journal entries, fixed assets, audit preparation and management, payroll accounting, project/job accounting, and backup duties for the Accounting team.

Invoicing Processing
Utility Processing – Various Utility Companies – Gas /Electric/Water and Sewer – Vacant Units/Common Areas; Tracking of Invoices to Master Bill List
Scanning Source Documents to Invoices/PO’s
PO Matching to Invoices
Contract Service Invoices
Expense Reporting/Invoice Processing
PO Entry that are required for Invoices.
Allocation Templates for Invoicing Processing/PO Processing
Being able to create CSV/Excel files to upload to software for Multiple Invoices
General Ledger Accounting Basic Knowledge
Journal Entry Posting
Credit Card Processing – Matching Invoices to CC Statement
Look up cash checks for vendor inquiries/of look up Vendor Payment Questions
Aging Statements from Vendors
On-Line Vendor Payments to pay bills
Being able to handle multiple bank accounts for payments/invoice processing
Running Check Report/Bill Runs to be used for Invoice Selection to Pay Bills
Mailing AP Checks to Vendors
Workflow/Budget Knowledge
1099 Processing

High Volume Invoice / PO Processing
· Lead a team finance professionals driving annual Plan/Update processes, strategic & functional budgets and present to ownership.
· Accountable for accuracy of financials for monthly close, internal controls, and driving standardization for budgeting, Procure to Pay, and Monthly Close.
· Oversee financial performance within the company: Ensure and drive data integrity in RealPage to better analyze income, expenses, and balance sheet accounts. Create processes and controls; create schedules to report, investigate and resolve discrepancies immediately.
· Assist in executing budget roadmaps and assessing trade off decisions to balance investment within the portfolio.
· Work with property managers to understand and improve performance drivers in their areas: Sales, Customer and Pricing related activities (Product Rationalization / profitability / trending)
· Capital investment process & analysis
· Prepare and drive standardization of reporting
· Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to generate tools and reporting focused on current year SG&A performance and limited Sales reporting.
· Ad-hoc analysis as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and/or Owners.

· Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to operate independently, lead multiple processes and meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities. Ability to work and thrive in a highly charged environment.
· Intermediate to advanced level experience with Excel; Pivot Table and Lookup required.
· Experience using RealPage or similar Real Estate Accounting software is required
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency Microsoft Office products
· Must be detail-oriented, self-directed, energetic, flexible, analytical, and collaborative.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance is required. Advanced degree and CPA (or CPA in progress) is preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive and related experience finance/accounting in the property management or real estate industry is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
